E-drive

REICH has been producing rotor shafts, which are used for power transmission in the electric drive, for electric motors in cars since 2023. The parts are manufactured in Mellrichstadt and at REICH's US location in Arden, North Carolina. The manufacturing steps are complex and can take up to four weeks for a single part – partly because the highest quality requirements (pressure, cleanliness) must be met for the materials used and special certificates are required for quality assurance. REICH can offer batch sizes of 100 to 1 million pieces per year for this growing market.
