The success story of REICH GmbH from Mellrichstadt in Lower Franconia spans more than 100 years, a century in which the company evolved from bicycle bell manufacturer to high-tech manufacturer. We have the expertise and capacity to produce high-precision turned parts in large batch sizes with 100 per cent flawless quality. This allows the company to stand strong in a highly competitive environment. As a high-tech company, we supply customers from the automotive industry (steering, transmission, chassis, injection) and other sectors (e.g. e-bike transmission parts, apparatus and mechanical engineering, the food industry). It is also our ability to reproduce this precision and 100% quality millions of times without errors and without complaints. An example: We produce well over 30 million of our top-selling pressure pipe sockets for common rail diesel injection systems every year with zero errors. REICH GmbH customers have appreciated our attention to detail for decades and honour our work with quality prizes and awards.
Everything from a single source – because REICH always delivers
This uniqueness is no coincidence. One reason for this is the high level of vertical integration and, in turn, our mastery of sophisticated technologies and processes. For example, the aforementioned pressure pipe socket goes through up to 12 complex manufacturing steps over a period of three weeks before it can be tested for quality in an elaborate measuring and testing procedure and finally delivered to the customer.
REICH has all the equipment needed for manufacturing in-house, as well as its own special machine and tool construction department. Another reason is the tremendous development expertise: the in-house design department frequently designs components in close collaboration with the customer. This profound knowledge of all manufacturing processes is invaluable when it comes to optimising the design for cost-effective, high-quality production.

Contract manufacturing
Since 2020, we have been handling the further processing of delivered blanks for our customer in Mellrichstadt. These blanks are provided with internal threads by experienced employees on modern automatic lathes. After turning, washing and packaging, the finished product is returned to the customer. These are heat sinks for AdBlue injection nozzles, which reduce nitrogen-oxide emissions in diesel engines.
These components are part of the exhaust gas after-treatment and, in addition to high temperature resistance, must have connections with precise tolerances in order to ensure the tightness of the system. REICH GmbH can offer these precision turned parts in batch sizes from 1,000 to 1 million pieces.
For the subsidiary (REICH MIM GmbH in Schwarzenberg), REICH GmbH in Mellrichstadt machines various components that require complex gearing or threads on a contract manufacturing basis. Among others, these components are used in the medical technology sector. The zero-defect principle and extremely high quality standards are also required in this sector.
